What the checklist covers
Inspection type (annual maintenance, 6-year maintenance, hydrostatic test), a table of extinguishers with location, type, size in pounds, manufacture year and result, and general checks for mounting and visibility, signage, tags and pins and tamper seals.
Monthly checks are the owner’s job
NFPA 10 expects the building owner to do a quick monthly visual check. Annual maintenance and the 6-year and hydro work are for a qualified technician. This form is for the technician’s visit.
